Very good

The Makita DUR369L is a really good machine and makes short work of the grass etc that it come into contact with. I went for this tool (over the multi-head) because it has 1000 W of power and you can notice it. The tool has a handy reverse feature which spins the head backwards for a short period of time to untangle items which have wrapped themselves around. The reverse feature seems to completely untangle objects about 25% of the time and makes it easier for me to untangle them by hand the remainder. It does chew through the batteries on the highest speed setting but that setting is unnecessary most of the time. It does work the batteries very hard so they come off the machine hot and (according to the manual) shouldn't be recharged until they have cooled down. I would like to get to at least 4 pairs of batteries (8 batteries) so I can be using one, recharging another and have 2 sets cooling down. The standard "bump" head is ok but not great - as per many other reviews on the tool. I think I'll upgrade it at some point soon. The tool came with some line in the head straight out of the box so that was nice but it didn't last long. I now have 2.4mm Stihl square line in it and that is fantastic - thanks to the guys at Tools Warehouse for helping me with that.
